We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Özcan Özcanhan, one of the veterans of the Turkish Cypriot press and one of the founders of our association.
We pray for God's mercy upon Özcan Özcanhan, who played a very important role in the Turkish Cypriot press, especially through his achievements as a diplomatic correspondent and his writing on the Cyprus issue, and we extend our condolences to his family and the entire press community.
The late Özcan Özcanhan will be laid to rest at Lefkoşa Cemetery tomorrow after the noon prayer at the İsmail Safa Mosque.
The Foreign Press Association will keep alive the memory of Özcan Özcanhan, our dear elder brother, veteran colleague and unforgettable fighter of the Turkish Cypriot people's years of national struggle.
May he rest in peace.
