About

The Cyprus Foreign Press Association (DBB) brings together the representatives and correspondents of foreign media organisations working in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

Since its founding, the association has taken a leading role in making the just cause of the Turkish Cypriot people known outside the TRNC, above all in Turkey. Our members are journalists who report developments on the island to newspapers, agencies, television channels and digital outlets in many countries.

The DBB aims to improve its members’ working conditions, defend press freedom, provide guidance on professional practice and strengthen solidarity between local and foreign members of the press.

We guide our members so that professional practice is carried out in keeping with the dignity of journalism.

  • Rights and solidarity

We protect our members’ rights, develop their social and professional relationships, and build solidarity between local and foreign members of the press.
